Network Technician

Tasks and duties

• Installing, testing and maintaining network hardware and software infrastructure.
• Evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput and latency.
• Establishing the networking environment by designing network configurations.
• Directing network installations, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards.
• Securing network systems by establishing and enforcing policies that define and monitor access.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
• Replacing faulty network hardware components when necessary.
• Monitoring network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
