How to become a Legal Counsel
To become a Legal Counsel, you must become a duly registered lawyer with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines in order to practice law and provide legal services. Before you enter law school, you must have a bachelor degree in any field.
Finish your Senior High School (SHS) diploma.
Graduate with a BA or BS degree in college. Some popular pre-law degrees include Political Science, Legal Management, Philosophy, Literature, Journalism, Public Administration, or any related field.
Apply for a Juris Doctor (JD) program at a duly accredited law school.
Graduate with at least a JD degree and take the Bar.
Pass the Bar Exam and register with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines.
You may choose to apply for a law firm offering legal counsel services or apply to be an in-house legal counsel at an organization.
