Product Engineer (Full-stack, AI-assisted) | WFH

About the role 

We’re moving towards a model where engineers own features end-to-end. 

With AI speeding up implementation, coding is no longer the bottleneck. The focus has shifted to understanding problems, shaping solutions, managing dependencies, and delivering high-quality outcomes. 

We’re looking for senior engineers who are comfortable taking a feature from idea → plan → build → test → release, while working closely with stakeholders and product teams. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Own features end-to-end (planning → implementation → testing → handover) 

• Work directly with product, design, stakeholders, and other teams to understand requirements 

• Break work into vertical slices that deliver real user value 

• Create clear implementation plans (approach, edge cases, risks, dependencies) 

• Build across .NET (backend) and React (frontend) 

• Use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate development 

• Write and maintain automated tests (Playwright for E2E) 

• Demo early, gather feedback, and iterate quickly 

• Identify and manage dependencies proactively to avoid rework

Solid system design & engineering fundamentals 

• Experience designing and building scalable, maintainable systems 

• Strong understanding of APIs, data flow, and application architecture 

• Able to make pragmatic design decisions balancing short-term delivery with long-term maintainability 

Strong product mindset 

• Comfortable engaging with stakeholders and asking the right questions 

• Able to understand the “why” behind a feature 

• Can work with ambiguous requirements and shape them into clear solutions 

End-to-end ownership 

• Can take a loosely defined feature and drive it through to delivery 

• Doesn’t rely on fully defined tickets to get started 

• Takes accountability for both outcome and quality 

Strong slicing and planning skills 

• Can break down features into well-sized vertical slices (~1–2 day chunks) 

• Keeps work small enough to review and test effectively 

• Avoids both over-granular tasks and overly large “epic-sized” work 

Quality-first mindset 

• Builds with testing and reliability in mind 

• Experience with unit, integration, and E2E testing (Playwright preferred) 

• Thinks through failure scenarios, not just happy path 

Dependency and change management 

• Proactively identifies dependencies across teams or systems 

• Flags risks early and works to minimise rework 

• Comfortable operating in environments where things change mid-stream 

Desirable - AI-assisted development (practical, not theoretical) 

• Experience using tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot (or similar) 

• Treats AI as an accelerator — validates output, handles edge cases, and maintains code quality 

• Uses AI to speed up delivery without increasing risk
