Chemical Engineer
About the role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team at our facility in Jasaan, Misamis Oriental. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of chemical processes and products. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. You will work on projects that directly impact our business objectives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement within our chemical engineering operations.
Key responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimise chemical processes and unit operations to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Conduct feasibility studies and pilot-scale experiments to evaluate new chemical processes and technologies
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and process documentation using industry-standard software
Perform process calculations, material and energy balances, and thermodynamic analyses
Oversee equipment selection, procurement, and installation to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
Monitor and troubleshoot production processes to identify issues and implement corrective actions
Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies
Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance
Prepare technical reports and documentation for project handovers and regulatory submissions
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process innovation projects
What we're looking for
Graduate of BS Chemical Engineering Course
PRC Licensed - preferrred
With at least 1 year of work experience in a related field — fresh graduates are welcome to apply!
Ability to work independently and can work under pressure.
Computer literate and familiar with worksheets and project management tools
Must be excellent in health and no allergies to chemicals.

RI Chemical Corporation (RI Chem) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Resins Incorporated, one of the more diversified chemical manufacturers in the Philippines today. Founded in 1956 by the late Meneleo Carlos, Sr., the Company embodies its founder's vision of contributing to the country's industrialization by manufacturing chemicals for various basic industries. In 1958 RI Chem began its commercial operations with the production of formaldehyde adhesives for the plywood industry and alkyd resins for both the paint and printing ink industries.
Soon after, the Company progressively expanded its production to include a wide range of synthetic resins for the coatings industry, fiberglass reinforced plastics, packaging, foundry, paper, textile and as well as other industries. RI Chem was for many years a licensee for the manufacture of synthetic resins of Reichhold Chemicals of the United States.
