Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in growth or performance marketing, ideally within supply-side marketplace businesses or large-scale consumer platforms
- Proven track record of acquiring and retaining users at scale, with measurable results
- Deep expertise in paid acquisition channels, including Meta and Google, with the ability to test and scale new platforms
- Experience managing lifecycle marketing across email, push notifications, SMS, and in-app channels
- Strong data fluency, with experience using AI tools and analytics platforms such as SQL, Looker, Mixpanel, and GA4
- AI-first mindset, with the ability to build agents and workflows rather than relying solely on one-off prompts
- Demonstrated ownership of initiatives from strategy through execution
- Strong understanding of marketplace economics, including CAC, LTV, payback, and supply-demand balance
Bonus Qualifications
- Background in supply-side roles within two-sided marketplace businesses
- Proven success in building referral programs or viral growth loops that delivered measurable results
- Expertise in acquiring specialty cohorts, including developers, healthcare professionals, and hard-to-reach demographics
- Exposure to growth initiatives targeting international audiences
Responsibilities
Setup
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to instrument the participant journey end-to-end
- Set up attribution models, performance metrics, and dashboards that drive weekly decision-making
- Build the data foundation for the participant growth function
Acquisition
- Set strategy and execute growth initiatives across paid, organic, referral, partnership, and community channels
- Identify and scale high-performing channels while discontinuing underperforming ones
- Own the budget and channel mix
Activation and Retention
- Turn new signups into verified, active, and repeat participants in collaboration with product teams
- Reduce churn and execute reactivation programs that convert participants into loyal users
- Run lifecycle programs across email, push notifications, and SMS to keep participants engaged between studies
- Reduce time to first study and improve repeat participation rates
Diversity and Quality
- Achieve demographic, geographic, and specialty cohort targets that align with demand
- Grow the participant supply that the business needs, not just the supply that is easiest to acquire
- Set growth strategies across the US, UK, and AU based on demand priorities
AI and Systems
- Build AI agents and workflows that scale acquisition and lifecycle marketing efforts
- Run a disciplined experimentation program focused on testing, learning, eliminating, and scaling initiatives
- Own CAC, LTV, payback, and the weekly performance view of the participant flywheel
