AUTOCAD OPERATOR (MEPFS)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Operator (MEPFS) to join the Engineering Drafting team at Coogee International Development Inc. in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the design and technical documentation of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and structural systems for our projects. As an AutoCAD Operator, you will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and plans that form the foundation of our engineering deliverables. Your work will directly support our project teams and contribute to the successful execution of complex infrastructure and development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Create and modify technical AutoCAD drawings for mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety and structural (MEPFS) systems in accordance with project specifications and engineering standards

• Prepare accurate construction documents, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details for multi-disciplinary engineering projects

• Convert engineering sketches and hand-drawn designs into professional digital CAD drawings

• Ensure all drawings comply with relevant building codes, industry standards and company quality standards

• Coordinate with engineers and design teams to clarify technical requirements and incorporate design modifications

• Maintain and organise drawing files, versions and project documentation in accordance with company protocols

• Perform quality checks on drawings to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies

• Update and revise drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders and design teams

• Support the preparation of drawing sets for tender documentation and construction submissions

• Assist in the development and standardisation of CAD templates and drawing standards for the organisation

What we're looking for

• Proficiency in AutoCAD software with demonstrated expertise in drafting MEPFS systems and multi-discipline coordination

• Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and structural systems and their integration

• Knowledge of relevant building codes and industry standards applicable to engineering design and construction documentation

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings

• Experience in creating 2D drawings with the capability to work with 3D models as required

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and revisions simultaneously

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project teams

• Technical diploma or certification in Engineering Drafting, Architecture, or a related field (preferred)

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an AutoCAD operator in a similar engineering environment (preferred)

• Familiarity with project management software and digital drawing storage systems is advantageous

• Must be a Civil engineer graduate or equivalent
