Virtual Assistant (Medical Office)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support daily administrative operations in a medical office. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling medical documentation, managing communications, and ensuring efficient workflow in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Note: This is a purely work onsite role in Eastwood, Quezon City, supporting a direct client based in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Sort, review, and manage incoming faxes, ensuring timely distribution and follow-up
Send outgoing faxes, including referrals, records, and other medical documentation
Process and fulfill medical records requests in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Upload and accurately file medical records into patient charts within the EMR system
Perform prior authorizations for medications through cover my meds platform and at times on paper.
Assist with other administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High level of professionalism and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance required)
Technical Requirements:
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Computer proficiency (Microsoft teams, spruce, Tebra EMR)
Secure and private workspace
Preferred Skills:
Experience with prior authorization platforms
Familiarity with fax management systems and digital document handling
Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work independently
