Senior Accountant (IT/MSP Industry Background)

We are looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting function across Philippine operations. This role requires a hands-on professional who can independently handle full-cycle accounting, with a strong focus on monthly invoicing & reporting, BIR compliance, and financial accuracy. The ideal candidate is confident working with international stakeholders and comfortable in a fast-paced IT services environment.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

• Manage end-to-end accounting processes (GL, AP, AR, accruals, and reconciliations)

• Prepare accurate financial reports (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet)

• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities

• Maintain and monitor reconciliation schedules, particularly sales and revenue reconciliation

Compliance & Regulatory

• Handle BIR compliance and filings (VAT, withholding taxes, quarterly and annual returns)

• Ensure all statutory and tax requirements are met accurately and on time

Invoicing & Reporting

• Oversee monthly invoicing and financial reporting (high-volume priority tasks)

• Support invoicing requirements for Australian operations

Payroll Support

• Assist in payroll processing for PH employees (<50 headcount)

• Ensure compliance with statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax)

Audit & Process Improvement

• Support internal and external audits

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data across systems

• Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs)

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiency

Must-Have Requirements

• Proven experience in end-to-end accounting (GL, AP, AR, Taxation, Payroll)

• Strong background in BIR compliance and quarterly filings

• Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills (advanced reconciliation and reporting)

• Experience handling monthly invoicing and reporting

• Excellent English communication skills (working with AU-based executives)

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function

• Experience in the IT industry or familiarity with IT services terminology

• Experience supporting small to mid-sized organizations (lean structure exposure)

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience with QNE (PH) and/or Xero (AU)

• Exposure to Autotask or similar systems

• Experience working with Australian accounting standards or clients

• Exposure to external audit processes
