Join Our Team as a Head of Operations (Port Terminal)!
We are seeking a highly experienced and operationally driven Head of Operations to oversee the end-to-end performance of our port terminal. This role is accountable for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-performing terminal operations, with direct responsibility for operational execution, cost efficiency, and throughput optimization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Lead and oversee all port terminal operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous cargo handling activities.
Drive operational performance, including vessel turnaround time, berth productivity, yard efficiency, and cargo flow optimization.
Ensure all operations comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and port authority policies.
Manage resource allocation, including manpower, equipment utilization, and operational scheduling to meet throughput targets.
Oversee cost control initiatives, minimize operational losses, and prevent revenue leakage within terminal activities.
Implement and continuously improve operational processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Lead budget planning and operational cost management for the terminal.
Act as overall site lead, ensuring timely resolution of operational issues and coordination with stakeholders (shipping lines, port authorities, logistics partners).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, safety, and service reliability.
Other duties and responsibilities as may be designated by the Management.
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum 5–10 years of managerial experience in port operations, terminal operations, shipping, or heavy logistics environments
Strong background in terminal performance management (berth, yard, cargo operations)
Proven leadership in high-volume, time-critical operational environments
Strong understanding of port safety systems, operational controls, and regulatory compliance
Excellent decision-making, analytical, and crisis management skills
Strong stakeholder management with shipping lines, port authorities, and logistics partners
Ability to lead large operational teams in a fast-paced environment
