FIELD AUDITOR

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Auditor to join LIFEBANK - A Rural Bank in Santa Barbara, Iloilo. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and compliance of our financial operations. As a Field Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting external audits, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements across our banking operations. This role is essential to safeguarding our organisation's financial health and maintaining stakeholder confidence.

What you'll be doing

1. Conducting comprehensive external audits of financial records, transactions, and accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards

2. Evaluating the effectiveness of internal control systems and identifying areas for improvement or risk mitigation

3. Reviewing banking operations at branch and headquarters level to verify regulatory compliance and adherence to established policies

4. Preparing detailed audit reports documenting findings, observations, and recommendations for management and stakeholders

5. Testing financial data and documentation to detect discrepancies, errors, or potential fraudulent activities

6. Verifying the legitimacy of banking transactions and ensuring proper authorisation and documentation procedures are followed

7. Liaising with bank management and operational teams to discuss audit findings and provide recommendations for corrective actions

8. Maintaining audit working papers and documentation in accordance with professional standards and regulatory requirements

9. Staying updated on banking regulations, accounting standards, and audit best practices

10. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and supporting regulatory submissions when required

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Auditing, or a related field

2. Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is highly preferred

3. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in external audit or banking audit environment

4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards (GAAP, IFRS), and banking regulations

5. Proficiency in audit software and accounting systems used in banking institutions

6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail

7. Strong communication abilities with the capacity to present complex financial information clearly to diverse audiences

8. Ability to work independently whilst maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

9. Integrity and ethical standards with a commitment to professional excellence

10. Time management skills and ability to prioritise multiple audit assignments effectively

11. Willingness to travel to branch locations as required for fieldwork
