The Pollution Control Officer (PCO) will support environmental compliance during the EPC phase by assisting in monitoring, reporting, and coordination with contractors and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to DENR regulations and ECC requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor compliance with environmental laws, permits, and ECC conditions

  • Conduct site inspections and environmental monitoring activities

  • Ensure contractor compliance with environmental plans and obligations

  • Coordinate and address environmental issues, non-conformities, and corrective actions

  • Provide guidance on pollution control, waste management, erosion control, and housekeeping

  • Assist in implementing mitigation measures (air, noise, wastewater, hazardous waste, drainage)

  • Liaise with DENR, LGUs, and other regulatory bodies

  • Prepare and support submission of environmental reports and compliance documents

  • Assist in investigating incidents, complaints, and non-compliance cases

  • Participate in inspections, audits, and coordination meetings

  • Support other environmental-related project activities as required

Qualifications

Must meet DENR-EMB requirements under DAO 20•4-02 (Category B Establishments)

Basic Requirements:

  • Filipino citizen

  • Willing to work full-time on project site

  • Completed Basic PCO Training (DENR-recognized, within the last 3 years)

Minimum Competency:

  • Licensed Engineer or Chemist with at least 2 years relevant experience; OR

  • Environmental/Science professional with at least 3 years experience; OR

  • Other relevant professional/vocational background with at least 5 years experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects

  • Knowledge of DENR-EMB regulations and ECC compliance

  • OSH Practitioner certification is an advantage

  • Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills

  • Willing to accept project-based employment
