JOB PURPOSE:

The Regional Expansion Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to grow the franchise network, ensuring brand consistency, and fostering strong relationships with franchisees. This role involves market analysis, strategic planning, financial performance monitoring, and franchisee support.


SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Franchise Sales & Development:

· Develop and implement regional-specific plans to expand the franchise network in alignment with company growth targets and regional priorities.

· Identify, evaluate, and secure new franchise opportunities through lead generation, industry networking, franchise expos, and other similar activities that are relevant to the region.

· Manage the franchise recruitment process, including vetting potential partners, conducting interviews, and presenting business proposals.

· Collaborate with legal and finance teams to support franchise agreement negotiations and onboarding processes.


Regional Strategy Development and Implementation:

· Conduct comprehensive market analysis to assess regional demand, competition, customer behavior, and emerging trends.

· Identify and prioritize high-potential markets for franchise growth and develop tailored entry strategies.

· Work with internal teams to define and refine territory mapping to ensure strategic market coverage

· Prepare, execute and deliver the expansion strategy for the region

· End-to-end governance of divestment which includes thorough evaluation and approval of requests, followed by managing the sale process from the current owner to the buyer

· Management of relocation proposals from beginning to end. It includes evaluating proposed relocation plans, approving them, and overseeing the entire process of execution, ensuring seamless and effective relocation for all parties.

· Execute the territorial franchise strategy by supporting existing territorial franchisees in their expansion requirements and potential; identifying potential ones to develop into territorial franchisees; as well as management of non-compliant territorial franchisees.

Franchisee Support & Relationship Management:

· Serve as the primary point of contact for expansion concerns of the franchisees in the region, fostering strong, long-term relationships

· Provide ongoing operational and business support to franchisees to help them achieve and sustain their expansion requirements and potential.

· Facilitate knowledge sharing, training sessions, and best practice implementation across the franchise network.


People Management and Collaboration:

· Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate the expansion strategy and execution

· Monitor performance of team members

· Coach, guide, and provide overall direction for Regional Expansion team

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

A. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

· Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or related field; MBA preferred.

· 10+ years of experience in franchise development, retail expansion, or business development roles.

· Minimum 5-7 years of specific experience in franchise development is required.

· Proven track record of managing multi-unit expansion and supporting franchisees or regional operations.

· Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region.


B. COMPETENCIES:

· Strong understanding of franchising models and regional regulatory considerations.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across various stakeholders.

· Project management and leadership skills

· Proficient in analyzing data and making informed decisions based on business KPIs and market insights.
