Bookkeeper (Accountant) | Full-time | Remote
We are a fast-growing Australian healthcare group seeking an experienced, detail-driven Bookkeeper (Accountant) to support our multi-entity finance operations. This is a full-time, fully remote role, suited to someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, takes ownership of data quality, and understands the commercial impact of accurate bookkeeping.
You will work closely with our accounts receivable team and Financial Accountant to ensure our records are complete, reconciled, and reliable for operational decision-making and reporting.
Key responsibilities
Accurately enter supplier invoices, credit notes, and adjustments in Xero
Maintain clean, consistent chart of accounts coding and supporting documentation
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations (high volume)
Manage multi-site / multi-entity entries and reporting support
Record intercompany transactions, journals, and reconcile loan accounts
Assist with month-end tasks, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations
Support BAS/IAS preparation by ensuring transactions are correctly coded and substantiated
Support payroll processing tasks and superannuation tracking (as required)
Ad hoc bookkeeping and finance administration to support the wider team
What we are looking for
Essential
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar
Minimum 2 years experience in a bookkeeping/accounts role (medium to large business preferred)
Strong working knowledge of Xero and Excel (pivot tables and lookups highly desirable)
Excellent attention to detail and a consistent approach to reconciliations and documentation
Comfortable working with deadlines and high transaction volumes
Clear written and verbal communication, with confidence working remotely
Highly regarded
Experience in an accounting firm environment
Exposure to audit processes, internal controls, and multi-entity structures
Experience with intercompany accounting and loan account reconciliations
