Jr. Mechanic (Truck & Heavy Equipment)/Automotive Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues of vehicles, trucks, and equipment.

  2. Perform preventive maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid checks.

  3. Conduct troubleshooting using diagnostic tools and recommend appropriate repair solutions.

  4. Inspect vehicle conditions and ensure roadworthiness, safety, and compliance with company standards.

  5. Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and parts inventory.

  6. Coordinate with supervisors and operations teams regarding repair timelines and maintenance schedules.

  7. Perform engine tune-ups, battery replacement, underchassis repairs, and other general mechanical works.

  8. Ensure cleanliness and proper handling of tools, equipment, and work areas.

Qualifications

  1. At least 2 years of experience as an automotive or truck mechanic, preferably in commercial, logistics, or industrial operations.

  2. Knowledgeable in vehicle diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and mechanical troubleshooting.

  3. Skilled in using automotive tools and diagnostic equipment.

  4. TESDA certification in Automotive Servicing is an advantage.

  5. Willing to work overtime, shifting schedules, or field assignments if required.

  6. Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

  7. Responsible, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented.
