About the role
We are seeking an experienced Housekeeping & Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Nuuk Taal Lake in Laurel, Batangas, Calabarzon. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring our property maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, aesthetics and operational functionality. In this supervisory role, you will lead and coordinate housekeeping and maintenance activities across the resort, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and the overall success of our hospitality operations. You will oversee daily operations, manage team performance, and ensure all facilities are maintained to our exacting standards.
What you'll be doing
Supervise and coordinate housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure efficient completion of daily tasks and adherence to quality standards
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas and facilities to verify cleanliness and maintenance standards are met
Schedule and allocate housekeeping and maintenance work assignments to team members based on operational needs and priorities
Train, mentor and develop housekeeping and maintenance staff, providing guidance on proper cleaning techniques, safety protocols and service standards
Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment and maintenance materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost efficiency
Address maintenance issues and coordinate repairs with external contractors as needed, prioritising urgent matters affecting guest comfort
Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to room cleanliness and facility maintenance, ensuring swift resolution
Maintain detailed records of maintenance work completed, staff performance and inventory usage
Ensure compliance with health, safety and hygiene regulations across all housekeeping and maintenance operations
Communicate effectively with other departments, including front desk and management, to coordinate activities and share relevant information
Participate in staff meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
What we're looking for
Minimum 3-5 years' experience in housekeeping or maintenance supervision within a hotel, resort or similar hospitality setting
Proven track record of successfully managing and motivating housekeeping and maintenance teams
Strong knowledge of cleaning protocols, maintenance best practices and hospitality standards
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
Proficiency in basic computer skills and familiarity with property management systems
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation
Leadership capabilities with the ability to train, coach and develop team members
Physical capability to perform regular inspections and occasional hands-on tasks
Familiarity with inventory management and basic budgeting principles
Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to hospitality operations
Fluency in English; Filipino language skills are advantageous
