Inventory Accountant (for fresh graduates)
Record, monitor, and reconcile inventory transactions across stores, warehouse, and distribution channels.
Perform inventory valuation and maintain accurate inventory accounting records.
Prepare inventory-related journal entries and month-end closing schedules.
Conduct inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies between physical and system records.
Monitor stock movements including purchases, transfers, returns, adjustments, and write-offs.
Support periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts; validate variances and recommend corrective actions.
Coordinate with supply chain, warehouse, and operations teams regarding inventory concerns and controls.
Generate inventory reports, analysis, and recommendations to support management decision-making.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Assist in financial reporting and inventory-related documentation for internal and external audits.
Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
Support ERP or inventory management system updates and reconciliations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.
At least 3 months in inventory accounting, general accounting, or finance operations.
Experience handling inventory reconciliation, stock monitoring, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of inventory accounting principles and cost accounting is an advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).
Experience using ERP/accounting systems is preferred.
