Inventory Accountant (for fresh graduates)

  • Record, monitor, and reconcile inventory transactions across stores, warehouse, and distribution channels.

  • Perform inventory valuation and maintain accurate inventory accounting records.

  • Prepare inventory-related journal entries and month-end closing schedules.

  • Conduct inventory reconciliations and investigate discrepancies between physical and system records.

  • Monitor stock movements including purchases, transfers, returns, adjustments, and write-offs.

  • Support periodic physical inventory counts and cycle counts; validate variances and recommend corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with supply chain, warehouse, and operations teams regarding inventory concerns and controls.

  • Generate inventory reports, analysis, and recommendations to support management decision-making.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.

  • Assist in financial reporting and inventory-related documentation for internal and external audits.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Support ERP or inventory management system updates and reconciliations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or related field.

  • At least 3 months in inventory accounting, general accounting, or finance operations.

  • Experience handling inventory reconciliation, stock monitoring, and financial reporting.

  • Knowledge of inventory accounting principles and cost accounting is an advantage.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis).

  • Experience using ERP/accounting systems is preferred.
