Paralegal Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Paralegal to support our legal team in the gaming and entertainment industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Philippine laws and regulations, particularly those related to gaming, as well as familiarity with PAGCOR (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation). This role involves conducting legal research, preparing legal documents, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Legal Research and Analysis:

• Conduct legal research on regulations, compliance, and industry standards relevant to the gaming and entertainment sector.

• Analyze and summarize legal documents, case law, and legislation.

• Document Preparation and Management:

• Draft, review, and edit legal documents, contracts, and agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Maintain and organize legal files and documentation, both physical and digital.

• Regulatory Compliance:

• Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory filings and reports to PAGCOR and other relevant government agencies.

• Monitor changes in legislation and regulations affecting the gaming and entertainment industry.

• Support Legal Counsel:

• Provide administrative support to legal counsel, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.

• Assist in the management of ongoing legal cases and matters.

• Collaboration:

• Work closely with internal teams, including compliance, finance, and operations, to ensure legal requirements are met.

• Build and maintain good relations with PAGCOR representatives and other regulatory bodies.

• General Administrative Duties:

• Perform other duties as assigned by the legal team, including filing and maintaining legal correspondence.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in law, Political Science, or a related field; Paralegal certification is a plus.

• Experience: At least 2-4 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in the gaming, entertainment, or hospitality sectors.

• Knowledge: Familiarity with Philippine laws and regulations related to gaming and entertainment; understanding of compliance frameworks specific to PAGCOR.

• Skills:

• Strong research and analytical skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Filipino.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.

• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
