Operations Manager – (International Trading / Supply Chain Operations)
About the Role - We are seeking an Operations and Manufacturing Manager to lead our end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain operations in a dynamic international trading environment. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will drive operational excellence, ensure on-time delivery of high-quality products, optimize resource utilization across global facilities, and foster collaboration between Hong Kong, USA, and affiliate offices. This is a key leadership position for someone with deep expertise in global trading operations, production management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead supply chain management functions, including demand forecasting, production planning, inventory control, and shipping/logistics to achieve cost-effective and timely operations.
Formulate, review, and continuously improve policies, guidelines, and procedures to build and develop a high-performing management team.
Monitoring the production process and related activities to consistently deliver on-time, high-quality products while maintaining operational efficiency.
Drive operational improvements and efficiency gains through the effective implementation and utilization of enterprise information management systems (e.g., ERP).
Prepare, analyze, and consolidate internal control reports, weekly updates, and monthly management reports for senior leadership.
Liaise closely with teams in the USA, Hong Kong, and other affiliate offices to optimize manufacturing facility utilization and resource allocation.
Collaborate with other departments to identify and troubleshoot issues in production planning, scheduling, and operations; implement corrective and preventive actions.
Establish strategic plans, budgets, performance metrics, and result measurements to accomplish business objectives.
Allocate resources effectively, monitor progress, and make timely mid-course corrections to ensure targets are met.
Maintain quality service standards by establishing, enforcing, and continuously enhancing organizational operating standards.
Requirements
Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
At least 15 years of relevant experience in international trading companies, with a minimum of 8 years in a managerial role; experience in sizable manufacturing operations is highly preferred.
Proven track record in implementing ERP systems or other enterprise tools to drive production process improvements and operational efficiency.
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail, excellent problem-solving, and decisive decision-making abilities.
Strategic mindset combined with strong team leadership and people management skills; ability to engage, motivate, and lead diverse teams across functions, levels, and cultures.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
Station in Xiamen, Fujian - CHINA.
