About the Role
We are seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Restaurant Systems, Engineering & Operational Excellence Head to drive operational standardization, store readiness, facilities quality, process improvement, and systems development across a rapidly expanding retail network.
This role is ideal for Industrial Engineers and Operations Excellence leaders who have successfully managed multi-site operations, retail expansion, facilities coordination, process engineering, quality systems, and operational transformation initiatives.
You will serve as a key partner to Operations, Construction, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Leadership teams in ensuring every store opens on time, operates efficiently, complies with standards, and delivers a consistent customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Store Expansion & Readiness
• Lead store opening readiness programs across new and existing locations
• Develop and implement store operating standards, audit frameworks, and readiness checklists
• Partner with Construction, Facilities, Operations, and Vendors to ensure seamless store launches
• Conduct site assessments and operational readiness reviews
Operational Excellence & Process Engineering
• Lead Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across the network
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions
• Design and optimize workflows that improve productivity, speed, cost efficiency, and customer experience
• Establish KPIs and operational performance measurement systems
Restaurant Systems & Compliance
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve restaurant systems, SOPs, policies, and operating procedures
• Ensure operational consistency across all stores
• Lead operational audits, compliance reviews, and corrective action programs
• Drive accountability through performance monitoring and governance systems
Facilities, Engineering & Quality Assurance
• Oversee facilities quality standards and preventive maintenance programs
• Collaborate with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and project teams to ensure compliance with company standards
• Support store layout optimization, equipment planning, and facilities improvement projects
• Evaluate operational risks and implement mitigation plans
Data Analytics & Performance Management
• Analyze operational, facilities, and financial performance data
• Develop dashboards, scorecards, and reporting systems
• Provide actionable recommendations to improve profitability, productivity, compliance, and customer satisfaction
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Lead projects involving Operations, Construction, Facilities, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Store Teams
• Influence stakeholders at all levels through data-driven decision-making
• Build a culture of operational discipline, continuous improvement, and accountability
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering (strongly preferred), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt preferred; Black Belt is a strong advantage)
Minimum 10-15 years of progressive experience in operational excellence, process improvement, engineering, restaurant systems, retail operations, facilities management, or construction coordination
Proven experience supporting multi-site retail, QSR, convenience store, food service, or consumer-facing operations
Strong exposure to store expansion, facilities operations, project management, operational audits, and systems implementation
Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional improvement initiatives
Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management capabilities
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, ISO, and quality management systems is preferred
