CASHIER/WAITRESS (PARQAL MALL!)

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Cashier/Waitress to join our team at RVD FOOD Inc. This is a full-time position based at our location in Parqal Mall, Paranaque City, Metro Manila. In this role, you will be the face of our establishment, delivering exceptional service to our customers whilst efficiently managing transactions and food service. You will play a vital part in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring smooth daily operations that contribute to our continued success in the retail and food-and-beverage sectors.

Key responsibilities

1. Greet customers warmly and provide courteous, professional service throughout their visit

2. Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen or preparation area in a timely manner

3. Serve food and beverages to customers with attention to detail and presentation standards

4. Operate the cash register accurately, process payments via various methods (cash, card, digital), and maintain a balanced cash drawer at the end of each shift

5. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, escalating issues when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction

6. Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the service area, dining space, and counter

7. Assist in basic food preparation tasks as required by the establishment

8. Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain health and safety standards

9. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient service during peak and off-peak hours

10. Restock supplies and inform management when inventory is running low

What we're looking for

1. Proven experience as a Cashier, Waitress, or in a similar customer-facing retail or food service role

2. Strong numerical and cash handling skills with experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system

3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with a genuine passion for customer service

4. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

5. Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic and commitment to team goals

6. Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift items up to 10 kg regularly

7. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, or willingness to obtain relevant certification

8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays as required

9. Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and systems

10. Preferably with experience in a retail or food and beverage establishment within Metro Manila
