Procurement Buyer
Key Responsibilities
Procurement and PurchasingSource and procure direct materials, indirect materials, spare parts, equipment, and services required for manufacturing operations.
Generate and manage Purchase Orders (POs) through ERP/MRP systems.
Monitor supplier deliveries and ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery performance, and technical capability.
Coordinate with internal departments regarding material requirements, specifications, and supply concerns.
Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues related to quality, pricing, and delivery.
Perform detailed cost analysis of purchased materials, components, and services.
Prepare cost breakdowns and cost comparison analyses for supplier quotations.
Analyze material pricing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Lead supplier negotiations to achieve annual cost reduction targets.
Support product costing, budget planning, and financial forecasting activities.
Evaluate total cost of ownership (TCO) and recommend sourcing strategies.
Collaborate with Finance and Engineering teams on cost improvement projects and value engineering initiatives.
Monitor procurement spending and provide reports on cost variances and savings achievements.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and business reviews.
Support supplier audits, qualification activities, and development programs.
Manage supplier contracts, agreements, and pricing negotiations.
Identify alternative suppliers and mitigate supply chain risks.
Prepare procurement, costing, and supplier performance reports.
Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, ISO standards, and customer requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Accountancy, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in Procurement, Purchasing, Strategic Sourcing, Costing, or Supply Chain within the semiconductor, electronics, or manufacturing industry.
Experience in product costing, cost analysis, price negotiation, and supplier management.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and financial evaluation skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including cost modeling and data analysis.
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing materials and processes is an advantage.
