IT Governance Analyst

Job Description:

IT Governance & Process Support
• Support the implementation and maintenance of IT governance frameworks aligned with ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards.
• Assist in the documentation, review, and continuous improvement of ITSM processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Monitor and report service performance metrics such as SLA compliance, MTTR, and backlog management, and escalate identified risks or deviations.
• Participate in process audits, service reviews, and post-implementation evaluations.
• Support compliance with the Data Governance Lifecycle, including data collection, processing, storage, retention, and disposal.

IT Asset Management (ITAM) Support
• Maintain and update the inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software, and information assets, throughout their lifecycle.
• Track asset ownership, classification, and status to ensure data accuracy and accountability.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of asset classification standards based on confidentiality and criticality.
• Conduct regular data validation and identify discrepancies for correction or escalation.
• Prepare and generate periodic asset inventory and compliance reports.

IT Access Management (IAM) Support
• Process and validate user access requests, including provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning, in accordance with established procedures and service level agreements.
• Ensure access requests are properly authorized and aligned with role-based access control (RBAC) requirements.
• Assist in periodic user access reviews and identify inappropriate or excessive access privileges.
• Monitor and report access-related incidents, policy violations, and segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts.
• Maintain accurate records of access changes and support audit requirements through proper documentation.
• Coordinate with system owners and application teams to ensure timely access provisioning and removal.

Continuous Improvement & Reporting
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by gathering, analyzing, and reporting data from ITIL processes.
• Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process enhancement and provide recommendations.
• Assist in workflow optimization initiatives, including process documentation and basic automation support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to address process gaps and improve operational efficiency.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and best practices.

Additional Responsibilities
Perform other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by management in support of departmental and organizational objectives.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of four (4) years of overall IT experience, with at least two (2) years of relevant experience in IT Governance, IT Risk Management, IT Audit, IT Service Management, IT Asset Management, or Information Security.

  • Working knowledge of IT governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards. Proven experience in developing, implementing, or supporting ITIL processes. Familiarity with IT Asset Management, Identity and Access Management, and audit compliance requirements.

  • Relevant professional certifications such as ITIL, CISA, COBIT, CRISC, or equivalent are preferred.
