Senior Travel Consultant

Brief Qualifications & Primary Job Descriptions:

We are seeking a dynamic, customer-oriented, and proactive Sr. Travel Consultant to join our team. The Sr. Travel Consultant will be responsible for assisting clients with their travel plans, including booking flights, accommodations, transportation, and creating customized travel packages. He/she will be working closely with the Operations Excellence Manager to ensure that all functions of the Operations team are handled accurately and the SLA is followed by the whole team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent and empathetic communication skills, strategic and accountable leadership, a passion for travel, and a strong attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor that all quotation and booking requests are catered to following the SOP and SLA

• Supervise the finance-related functions of the team and ensure that the tasks are done accurately and timely manner

• Ensures that all concerns of suppliers and customers in all modes of communication of WalkThePlanet are being addressed by the team of travel consultants

• Prepare detailed flight quotations, including fare breakdowns, flight details, and any additional services or amenities

• Utilize Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo to search for and book flights for clients.

• Confirm flight reservations with clients and provide them with detailed itineraries and e-tickets.

• Navigate reservation platforms and airline websites to compare flight options, availability, and pricing.

• Design customized travel packages for clients, combining flights, accommodations, transportation, and activities to create comprehensive travel experiences.

• Research and negotiate with travel suppliers, including airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to secure competitive rates and value-added amenities for package components.

• Assist clients in selecting and booking accommodations, including hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals, based on their preferences and budget.

• Coordinate transportation arrangements, including car rentals, airport transfers, and chauffeur services, as requested by clients.

• Provide clients with confirmation details, booking references, and any additional information related to their hotel and transportation arrangements.

• Coordinate with relevant departments, such as the Sales and Finance Departments, in payment collections and disbursements

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in creating accurate flight quotations

• An ideal candidate also has experience in hotel booking and itinerary creation

• Has experience in leading a team

• Proficiency in using GDS platforms (Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo).

• Ability to navigate GDS interfaces for flight booking.

• Familiarity with ticketing portals and reservation systems.

• Competency in processing ticket transactions efficiently.

• Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.

• Initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving.

• Strong and empathetic communication skills

• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays.
