ROLE OVERVIEW
This is a role combining proactive sales outreach with end-to-end recruitment delivery. The AU Recruiter & Sales Associate is responsible for generating new business opportunities through direct client outreach while sourcing, engaging, and placing high-quality candidates across the Australian market.The ideal candidate brings a confident phone manner, a hunter mentality for new business, and the discipline to manage a high-volume recruitment desk — values-driven, accountable, and quality-focused.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Outreach & Business Development
- Conduct proactive outbound calls to prospective clients including employers, hiring managers, and business owners
- Generate and qualify new job mandates through direct phone outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and email campaigns
- Conduct weekly market research to identify new leads, target employers, and emerging hiring opportunities
- Build and maintain a personal business development pipeline; track activity and conversion rates
- Generate weekly lead and insight reports for strategic recruitment initiatives
- Educate prospective clients on our way of working — setting expectations and building trust from first contact
- Identify workflow gaps and suggest improvements to the sales and recruitment process
Candidate Resourcing & Outreach
- Source quality candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search, Loxo ATS, and job boards
- Interpret job briefs to identify key selection criteria and build accurate, targeted sourcing strategies
- Conduct daily outreach and headhunting to engage both active and passive candidates
- Build and manage candidate pools; maintain strong candidates in Loxo with accurate data, notes, and progress updates
- Manage SEEK campaigns, messaging and email outreach; post and oversee job applications
Candidate Interviews & Submissions
- Conduct structured internal interviews with candidates; document outcomes and recommendations in Loxo
- Format professional candidate submission documents with tailored commentary
- Submit candidates to clients promptly, maintaining quality and speed to market
- Screen CVs and applications to shortlist candidates aligned with client briefs
Job Adverts
- Draft compelling job advertisements for review; once approved, post to SEEK and the company website
- Manage inbound applications — screen, call, and shortlist with senior support as needed
Reference Checking
- Conduct reference calls on placed candidates; format professional reference reports
- Submit reports to clients following senior review; ensure coverage and quality of insights
Placement Compliance
- Complete Loxo compliance workflows upon placement confirmation
- Coordinate invoicing by notifying the Managing Director; ensure documentation accuracy
- Assist with background checks, compliance, and all placement documentation
Marketing & Content
- Create weekly LinkedIn content — Hot Job posts (fortnightly) and value/story content (alternating weeks)
- Support content creation, scheduling, and posting across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and monthly newsletters
- All content submitted for senior review prior to scheduling or publishing
Market Mapping & List Building
- Build long lists and market maps for senior and executive positions by direction of senior consultants
- Conduct weekly market research to surface new opportunities, employers, and candidate pools
- Provide weekly insights and lead generation reports to support strategic initiatives
Reporting & Administration
- Track and report outreach activity, call volumes, and interview bookings daily
- Provide weekly progress reports on sourcing metrics, pipeline conversions, and placement activity
- Task tracking and KPI reporting via Loxo dashboards and shared documents
- Provide EA/PA-style support to senior consultants as required
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Minimum 2 years experience in recruitment, resourcing, or agency recruitment — end-to-end delivery preferred
- Proven track record in headhunting through calls and candidate outreach, with confidence engaging passive candidates
- Prior experience in a sales caller, business development, or client-facing recruitment role is highly regarded
- Familiarity with the Australian recruitment market — understanding of local employer landscape and candidate expectations
- Strong verbal and written communication — confident phone manner, persuasive and professional in all interactions
- Proficient in LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search, Loxo ATS, and Google Workspace; Loom familiarity preferred
- Experienced in structured candidate intakes, shortlist presentation, and client communication
- Commercially aware — understands the link between activity, pipeline, and placement outcomes
- Tech-savvy and analytical; comfortable learning new recruitment tools and systems quickly
- Organized, deadline-driven, and quality-focused — follows playbooks and takes feedback well
- Proactive, resilient, and results-driven with the ability to work independently in a remote environment

Requirements
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Candidates Sourced: 250 per week
- Outbound Sales / Candidate Calls: 30–50 per week
- Client Outreach Calls (New Business): 20+ per week
- Candidate Interviews Conducted: 3–6 per week
- Candidate Submissions to Clients: 2–5 per week
- Clients Out on Interview (COOIs): 3 per week
- Placements: 2–3 per month
- Lead & Market Reports: Weekly
