Group Manager (Chowking and Jollibee)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
1.1 Reporting to : Managing Director
1.2 Supervising : Store Management Team Members
1.3 Coordinating with : Store Management Team Members,
Customers, Support Center Representatives
2. JOB OBJECTIVE
The Group Manager is responsible for leading and developing multi-unit store management teams to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction, FSC consistency, sales and profitability targets, in accordance with the direction of the Franchisee.
The Group Manager is expected to perform these duties and responsibilities in managing the Jollibee brand.

4. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
4.1 Sales
4.1.1 Defines and achieves stores’ sales and sales growth targets.
4.1.2 Identifies, understands and monitors sales plans execution of the franchise
group.
4.1.3 Identifies, understands and monitors sales plans execution of the franchise
group. Reviews sales performance of the franchise group and
4.1.4 recommends improvements.
Builds brand awareness programs for the franchise group through
community relations
4.2 Profit
4.2.1 Defines and achieves stores’ profitability targets and productivity
4.2.2 and cost efficiency plans. Reviews performance of the franchise group and recommends
4.2.3 improvements.
Prepares investment feasibility reports and recommends action.
4.3 FSC
4.3.1 Defines and achieves stores’ customer satisfaction and FSC targets
4.3.2 Reviews FSC performance of the franchise group and recommend
improvements.
4.3.3 Provides support and recommends interventions on stores’ crisis management
and media handling
4.4 People Management
4.4.1 Sourcing, Selection and Hiring
4.4.1.1 Sources and screens candidates for Management Team position
4.4.1.1.1 Conducts initial interview for manager position
4.4.1.2 Implements Jollibee HR Process in the sourcing, selection and hiring
4.4.1.3 Recommends candidates for crew regularization and crew leader
selection
4.4.1.4 Ensures completeness of management team members
4.4.2 Training & Development
4.4.2.1 Ensures implementation of Manager Training Systems
4.4.2.2 Recommends training and development programs for teams and
monitors implementation based on individual development plans
(IDPs)
4.4.2.3 Motivates teams to performance improvement
4.4.3 Performance Management
4.4.3.1 Develops performance objectives (OGSM) with Store Managers
4.4.3.2 Ensures proper delegation of Key Result Areas among management
teams and recommends improvements
4.4.3.3 Monitors performance of store managers
4.4.3.4 Discusses PMS of team to the store manager based on approval and
recommendations of the Managing Director
4.4.3.5 Employee Discipline
4.4.3.5.1 Reviews disciplinary action memo and
recommends course of action
4.4.3.5.2 Monitors implementation of the DA process
4.4.4 Career Development
4.4.4.1 Reviews store succession plans and recommends
suggestions
4.4.4.2 Monitors implementation of the plans
4.5 Administration
4.5.1 Ensures adherence to Jollibee operating systems, policies, procedures and
standards
4.5.2 Ensures store compliance to government requirements such as store permits
and licenses
5. DIMENSIONS
5.1 Consequence of Error
5.1.1 Poor handling and supervision would lead to poor store
performance resulting to:
5.1.1.1 Loss Sales
5.1.1.2 Negative PNL
5.1.1.3 Ineffective and inefficient Managers
5.1.2 Poor and/or erroneous recommendations would lead to major customer
complaints and wrong decision-making
5.2 Responsibility for Resources
5.2.1 Brand Equity encompassing the overall image of the brand that reflects who or
what Jollibee is
5.2.2 Multiple stores including store sales and cash funds, equipment and facilities,
and supplies and inventory
5.3 Responsibility for Information
5.3.1 Franchisor’s operating manuals and procedures in accordance with the
provisions of the FA
5.3.2 Stores’ financial conditions
5.3.3 Stores’ sales and development plans and programs
6. JOB SPECIFICATION
6.1 Education – College graduate preferable in Hotel and Restaurant Management or any
related field. Must have passed the company’s BOTP and corresponding Management
Development Program.
6.2 Experience - At least 3 to 5 years managerial experience in Jollibee store operations
setting
6.3 Human Relations
6.3.1 Must be able to relate well with all kinds of customers
6.3.2 Must be able to create a good impression, commanding attention and respect,
showing an air of confidence.
6.3.3 Able to improve skills and competencies of Store Managers through training
and development activities related to current and future jobs.
6.4 Mental Effort
6.4.1 Must be focused on store operations to achieve sales, profitability and FSC
targets
6.4.2 Must be able to identify problems, secure relevant information, develop
solutions and make decisions which are based on logical assumptions and
which reflect factual information.
6.5 Physical Effort
6.5.1 Must be able to perform well even under pressure or opposition
6.5.2 Must be able to conduct field work (ie store visits, etc)
