Accounting Department Manager

About the role

Furukawa Automotive Systems Lima Philippines, Inc. is seeking an experienced Accounting Department Manager to join our team in Lipa City, Batangas. As the Accounting Department Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial operations and strategic direction of the company's accounting functions. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

What you'll be doing

1. Managing the daily operations of the accounting department, including supervising and developing a team of accounting professionals

2. Preparing and analysing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to support business decision-making

3. Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

4. Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls and financial systems

5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives

6. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient workflows

7. Serving as a trusted advisor to the senior management team on financial matters

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification preferred

3. Minimum 8 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry

4. Strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights

6. Proficient in financial software and data analysis tools

7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with cross-functional teams

8. Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing accounting teams
