Finance Assistant (School Setting Preferred)

Under the supervision of the SI Finance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the preparation and release of students’ initial and installment billings.

This position is also responsible for answering queries and addressing billing related concerns being raised by students, parents, guardians and academic personnel.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process the schedule of fees being initially prepared by AVP Academics. This includes the securing of timely submission of fees (SOF) prior to enrollment, ensuring the SOF is approved by the School Controller before implementing into main billing systems and its ancillary systems.

• Timely distribution of periodic installment billings to students and academics to ensure that dues are communicated.

• Address queries that are being raised by the students, parents, guardians and academics to resolve disparity on billings.

• Process the adjustments on students’ billings such as but are not limited to discounts, approved costing adjustments, subject addition and dropping notices, 

• Updates the students’ accounts for refunds being returned arising from overpayments due to government agency and private institution subsidies.

• Perform back up cashiering functions on enrollment and examination seasons.

• Maintain the ADEC affiliates billables Masterfile and prepare billings for send out.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduate of BS Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Accounting Information Systems is preferred; graduates of any business-related course are also acceptable.

• At least 1 year of work experience in school settings is preferred.

• At least 1 year of work experience related to billing.
