Civil Designer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Designer to join our team and support the delivery of civil infrastructure and land development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing civil engineering designs and detailed drawings, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant standards and regulations. This role requires strong technical expertise in civil design software, particularly AutoCAD and 12D, as well as experience working on Australian civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering designs, plans, and detailed drawings for infrastructure and development projects.

• Utilize AutoCAD and 12D software to develop and modify design documentation.

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure designs comply with Australian standards, regulations, and client requirements.

• Support project planning, coordination, and delivery to meet project timelines and budgets.

• Conduct design reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness of documentation.

• Assist in resolving design and construction-related issues.

• Maintain project records and documentation using Microsoft Office and other project management tools.

• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.

• Contribute to process improvements and best practices within the civil design team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience using 12D software.

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and design methodologies.

• Experience in civil design for infrastructure, subdivision, land development, or related projects.

• Project management and coordination skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and achieve project time and budget targets.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience working within Australian engineering standards and requirements.

Mandatory Requirements

• Australian civil design experience.

• Demonstrated experience in a Civil Designer role.

• Solid understanding of engineering principles and civil design practices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with additional CAD and civil engineering design software.

• Knowledge of construction methodologies and practices.

• Relevant qualification in Civil Engineering, Drafting, Design, or a related field.
