Bilingual Japanese Business Development / Strategy Analyst

We are a leading digital infrastructure company in the Philippines, the largest portfolio of cell phone towers in the Philippines.
We recently entered the Japanese market. While our executive team operates in English, we are building a localized "bridge" team in the Philippines to facilitate market research, data analysis, and business development initiatives.
Role Overview:
As a Bilingual Japanese Business Development/Strategy Analyst, will serve as an essential link between our English-speaking leadership team and local Japanese market data and personnel. This role does not require flawless, simultaneous interpretation. Instead, we need sharp, proactive individuals who can read Japanese documentation, summarize market trends in English, and support informal communication during introductory cross-border meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct localized market research on Japanese digital infrastructure, cell phone towers, data centers, real estate, and tech trends.
Translate business documents, website copies, and emails from Japanese to English.
Provide informal, conversational translation and note-taking support during internal or partner meetings.
Assist the Business Development team with database building and outbound localization, including outreach to landowners to develop landbank for towers and small data centers.
Requirements:
Currently pursuing or holding a degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, International Studies, Linguistics, Philosophy, or the humanities.
Language: Conversational Japanese fluency with a solid ability to read and write (JLPT N2 or N1 level equivalent preferred; certification not strictly required if skills are proven).
English Proficiency: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
General aptitude: Strong problem-solving skills, smart, a critical thinker. Hard-working and enthusiastic; pro-active. Should ideally have good project management skills
Flexible 13–20 hours per week (Ideal for Students / Freelancers)
Part-time openings (up to 6 roles available)
Will consider graduating to full-time admittance to our management training program for strong performers (strong problem-solving skills, enthusiastic) interested in such
