SALES ENGINEER – SOLAR INDUSTRY | ONSITE
About the Role:
We are looking for a Sales Engineer with a strong technical background in solar energy solutions to drive sales and business growth. This role involves identifying potential clients, presenting solar system solutions, and providing technical support throughout the sales process. The ideal candidate should have expertise in solar energy systems, strong communication skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between technical and sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and engage potential clients, including commercial, industrial, and residential customers.
Provide expert advice on solar system designs, specifications, and performance to clients.
Develop accurate cost estimates, proposals, and technical documentation for solar projects.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and providing solutions.
Conduct site inspections and evaluate project feasibility based on energy needs, location, and technical requirements.
Work closely with design and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and new solar technologies to maintain a competitive advantage.
Track sales performance, generate reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales or technical support within the solar, renewable energy, or power industry.
Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, batteries, and energy storage solutions.
Experience in technical sales, system sizing, and cost-benefit analysis.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, or similar solar design software is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and travel for client meetings and site visits.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset.
