CAD Engineer

BTSMC Managing Solutions, Inc. is urgently looking for a CAD ENGINEER (5-mos. project-based) to be assigned to Pagbilao, Quezon Province.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or other engineering disciplines.

• Licensed/Registered Engineer (RE) status highly preferred.

• Certified/trained in Autodesk AutoCAD and SmartPlant P&ID

• With at least 5 years' experience as CAD Engineer/Drafter in either industry:

  • Power Generation: Experience with thermal, combined-cycle, or nuclear plants.

  • Oil & Gas: Experience with refineries, petrochemical plants, or LNG facilities.

• Familiarity with 3D plant design software (e.g., Aveva E3D, CADWorx).

General Description:

The CAD Engineer generates the complete engineering design and computer-aided design (CAD) lifecycle from initial draft for review to as-built version which enforces multi-disciplinary engineering drafting standards, convert engineering red-line markups into intelligent models, and approve technical drawing packages. Ensure strict alignment between physical plant assets, multi-discipline engineering diagrams, and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• CAD Engineering & Workspace Setup

  • Establish multi-discipline project engineering workspaces.

  • Enforce engineering layer, block, and symbol standards.

  • Configure project borders and technical title blocks.

• Issue for Review (IFR) Engineering Phase

  • Develop initial process layouts and schematics.

  • Digitize complex discipline-specific engineering red-line markups.

  • Synchronize critical asset tags across engineering datasets.

  • Conduct internal technical quality control checks.

  • Approve and issue comprehensive IFR design packages.

• Issue for Approval (IFA) Engineering Phase

  • Incorporate client, HAZOP, and safety comments.

  • Validate engineering cross-references across discipline sets.

  • Execute final technical engineering package sign-offs.

• As-Built Phase & Field Engineering Reconciliation

  • Reconcile engineering drawings with field-captured site data.

  • Embed final engineering metadata into master files.

• Handover & CMMS Integration Engineering

  • Oversee high-fidelity engineering PDF drawing renditioning.

  • Extract asset tags for seamless CMMS integration.

  • Manage the long-term engineering project archive.

  • Core Engineering Disciplines Required

  • Chemical / Process Engineering Drafting

  • Developing Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

  • Verifying process line sizing and stream data.

  • Reconciling equipment and instrument loop tags.

  • Mechanical / Piping Engineering Drafting

  • Designing plant equipment layouts and orientations.

  • Generating 3D piping models and isometrics.

  • Drafting pipe support and hanger details.

  • Reviewing pressure vessel and static equipment drawings.

  • Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineering Drafting

  • Developing Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs).

  • Developing Wiring Diagrams (WDs).

  • Designing cable tray and conduit routing layouts.

  • Drafting instrument loop and schematic diagrams.

  • Detailing substations and electrical panel layouts.

• Work Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8hrs./day

• Work Location: Pagbilao, Quezon Province (Aboitiz Power - TLI)
