SMSF Accountant

JOB SUMMARY

We are a leading accounting and business advisory organization that is capital of providing solutions to our clients, team, shareholders and community to shape their success in a changing world.

We are looking for an SMSF accountant that will work within the firms SMSF division, your responsibilities will include tax returns, general and special purpose financial statements, monthly management accounts for the SMSF’s and the construction of logical and accurate workpapers.  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounts preparation and preparation of workpapers

• Preparation of SMSF Annual Returns

• Preparation of BAS, IAS

• Attending to the requirements of Trusts

• Preparing minutes

• Preparing benefit payments and pension establishment documents

• Preparing standard letters on tax matters to the client and ATO. Record and document all discussions with clients.

• Provide support to other business units in relation to queries relating to superannuation.

• Respond to client queries in an accurate and timely manner to ensure that client services are maintained at an optimal level.

• Complete jobs within budget expectations and assist Managers / Partners with WIP/Billing 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• CPA Qualified

• At least 4+ years’ experience in a similar role

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

• At least 6 months (including internships) in a professional services environment, Big4 preferred
