Manual QA Analyst
Job OverviewWe are looking for a Manual QA Analyst responsible for analyzing business requirements, creating functional specifications, developing test cases, and ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing activities. The role involves validating system functionality, identifying defects, supporting release processes, and contributing to continuous process improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance & TestingAnalyze business requirements and translate them into functional specifications, test cases, and test scripts.
Develop test strategies, test plans, and test effort estimations for projects.
Perform System, Integration, Functional, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Execute manual test cases, identify defects, and validate defect fixes and new functionalities.
Create and maintain Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM), test data, and testing documentation.
Prepare Test Summary Reports and Acceptance Test Certificates.
Review and provide feedback on test cases, scripts, and reports created by team members.
Collaborate with Automation QA teams for automation testing initiatives and maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with QA standards, SDLC processes, Agile/Waterfall methodologies, and organizational guidelines.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives and recommend quality enhancements.
Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA team members.
Mentor and guide Junior QA Analysts and Manual QA Analysts.
Support cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth project delivery and quality assurance activities.
Maintain accurate testing records, reports, and project documentation.
Monitor testing progress, risks, and issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
Participate in audits and compliance activities aligned with organizational standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Management Engineering, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience in Manual QA Testing and Software Quality Assurance.
Strong experience in writing test cases, test scripts, and Master Test Plans.
In-depth understanding of QA methodologies, Test Design Techniques, SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
Hands-on experience with QA testing tools, defect tracking systems, and testing processes.
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or financial systems is an advantage.
Experience handling small to medium-sized QA projects and mentoring team members is preferred.
ISTQB Certification is an advantage but not required.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Willing to work on shifting schedules, extended hours, and travel when required.
