Accounts Receivable Specialist

The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate recording, monitoring, and reconciliation of accounts receivable transactions. The role ensures timely billing, proper documentation, and effective coordination with branches to maintain accurate financial records and support cash flow management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform day-to-day accounts receivable transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording AR data.

• Match and validate amounts reflected in the Daily Sales Report against system records.

• Prepare and issue monthly billing statements for each branch.

• Compute and monitor monthly Local Advertising Fees.

• Prepare weekly sales invoices and distribute them to concerned branches.

• Prepare and release monthly Statements of Account (SOA) to branches.

• Generate, review, and validate Output VAT reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Process reimbursement requests in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all billings and collections are properly recorded.

• Identify, verify, and resolve discrepancies and billing issues in coordination with branches and concerned departments.

• Prepare and analyze Accounts Receivable Aging Reports and provide necessary commentaries for submission to the AR and AP teams.

• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties that may be assigned from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, or bookkeeping certifications) are a plus but not required.

• At least 1-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or related finance roles.

• Experience with accounting software such as SAP, QuickBooks, Xero, or MYOB is advantageous.

• Familiarity with local tax regulations and invoicing practices.
