ASSOCIATE LAWYER

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Draft pleadings, legal opinions, and memoranda

  • Conduct legal research

  • Appear before trial courts, office of the city prosecutor, and  quasi-judicial agencies;

  • prepare documents for trial, review and/or draft commercial contracts and other legal documents;

  • Prepare case status reports and/or inventory;

  • Liaise with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bar-Passer

  • Post graduate/master’s degree in law

  • Strong  litigation background or interest to be trained in litigation

  • At least 1-year  litigation experience 

  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills (journalistic/writing background a distinct advantage)

  • Highly motivated and  self-driven

  • Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision 

  • newly-passed lawyers need not apply

  • Willing to report for work immediately/asap
