Agronomist
Position Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and results-driven Agronomist to support crop production, soil management, and sustainable farming practices. The Agronomist will provide technical expertise, conduct field assessments, analyze agricultural data, and recommend strategies to improve crop yield and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct field inspections and evaluate crop health, soil conditions, and irrigation systems
Develop and recommend crop management and fertilization programs
Analyze soil, plant, and environmental data to improve productivity
Provide technical guidance to farmers, growers, and agricultural teams
Monitor pests, diseases, and weeds, and recommend appropriate control measures
Prepare agronomic reports, field trial results, and performance evaluations
Ensure compliance with agricultural, environmental, and safety standards
Support research initiatives and implementation of sustainable farming practices
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Agriculture, Soil Science, or related field
Proven experience in crop management and field operations
Knowledge of soil fertility, crop protection, and irrigation practices
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
Proficiency in agricultural data collection and analysis tools
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites
Preferred Skills
Experience with precision agriculture technologies
Familiarity with local crop production systems and regulations
Ability to work independently and manage multiple field projects
Work Environment
Combination of fieldwork and office-based reporting
Exposure to varying weather and agricultural field conditions
