Job Description

The Employee and Labor Relations Officer is responsible for the standard & legal processes and work flow of the employee and labor relations section. The employee and labor relations officer ensures that the policy of the company is being observed by all employees. He/she is responsible on the observation of due process and issuance of sanctions, on erring employees based on the code of discipline and in consideration of the existing labor laws following substantive and procedural protocols. He/she is also responsible on ensuring all retention programs setup by the HRD are in place & updated.

Duties and Responsibilities

Receive and review incident report and notice to explain forms and make sure that such documents are signed by the concerned officers

Issues notices such as but not limited to invitation for administrative hearing, return to work order, suspension, and termination

Conducts investigation and attends administrative hearing on offenses that falls under the grievous category of the company’s code of discipline

Issues a fair and just decision based on the company’s code of discipline and in consideration of the existing government labor laws

Ensures retention programs are in place, provides consultation and counseling to all employees

Serves as emissary to government agencies (DOLE or NLRC) and represent the company on legal and labor issues or disputes

Coordinate and consult with the company lawyer on cases that involves legal matter

Conducts roving to all offices and branches and ensure that the welfare and rights of employees are well-guarded by the company

Supervise, guide and monitor the daily tasks of the associates under the employee and labor relations section

Prepare and submit mandatory reports to the government agencies particularly the Department of Labor and Employment

Prepares update and progress report and submit the same to the top-management through the HR Manager and Division Head
