Materials Planner
Job Summary:
Plans, manages, and controls the replenishment of stocks of the region to maintain the defined optimal level of inventory in order to serve the requirements of manufacturing operations in terms of raw materials, and supply the requirements of feed mill materials at the most efficient and cost saving manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads the materials planning process for the Feeds business, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and strategic targets.
- Develops and oversees raw material plans to guarantee availability at the right quantity, time, and location—at the lowest possible cost.
- Generates and reviews weekly and monthly replenishment plans for five (5) feed mill plants across the Visayas region, ensuring uninterrupted operations.
- Monitors and ensures the accuracy of projected usage, prices, and inventory levels of raw materials per plant, territory, and region to support:
-Nutrition in forecasting direct material costs
-Finance in projecting gross margins and product contributions
- Guarantees timely availability of raw and packaging materials to support continuous production of finished goods.
- Continuously reviews current planning processes, identifies inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and implements improvements to enhance planning quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferably with prior experience in Supply Chain Management or Materials Planning, particularly within a manufacturing or agribusiness environment.
