Job Summary: 

 
The Global IT Leader will be responsible for driving and overseeing the company’s technology vision, strategy, and infrastructure, while playing a key role in client-facing engagements. Working closely with the executive leadership team, the VP will ensure that technological initiatives align with business objectives, foster innovation, and safeguard the security and scalability of IT systems. Additionally, this role will oversee technology asset management and represent the company in client sales presentations and onboarding processes. This position requires an experienced, visionary leader with strong technical expertise and a proven ability to build client relationships. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Technology Strategy & Vision 

  • Develop and execute a technology strategy that supports and enhances business goals, ensuring it aligns with overall organizational priorities. 
  • Lead the company’s digital transformation efforts, identifying opportunities to leverage technology for operational efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage. 
  • Oversee IT architecture and infrastructure to ensure systems are secure, scalable, and support the company's growth trajectory. 
  • Guide strategic decisions regarding technology investments, cloud services, software/hardware upgrades, and business continuity. 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to seamlessly integrate technology solutions into business operations, improving overall effectiveness and customer satisfaction. 

 

IT Operations & Infrastructure Management 

  • Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of IT systems and networks, ensuring robust performance and uptime. 
  • Manage the IT budget to maximize resource efficiency and prioritize cost-effective investments. 
  • Establish best practices for IT operations, including system monitoring, performance optimization, and incident response. 
  • Ensure systems meet industry standards and regulatory requirements in terms of security, compliance, and operational integrity. 
  • Drive IT automation initiatives to streamline processes and enhance scalability. 

 

Asset Management 

  • Oversee the company's technology asset management process, including procurement, inventory, maintenance, and decommissioning of hardware and software assets. 
  • Ensure efficient tracking, utilization, and optimization of IT assets to maximize cost efficiency and minimize waste. 
  • Implement strategies to manage the lifecycle of IT assets, ensuring timely upgrades and replacements based on company needs and technology advancements. 

 

Cybersecurity & Risk Management 

  • Design and implement a cybersecurity strategy to protect company data and IT infrastructure from evolving threats. 
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and safeguard sensitive information across IT systems. 
  • Work alongside legal and compliance teams to maintain adherence to industry regulations and standards. 
  • Lead business continuity planning and disaster recovery efforts to maintain operational resilience during unexpected disruptions. 

 

Innovation & Emerging Technologies 

  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact on business transformation and competitive positioning. 
  • Drive the evaluation, testing, and implementation of innovative technologies like AI, machine learning, blockchain, and IoT, positioning the company as a forward-thinking leader. 
  • Lead initiatives to pilot and scale new tech solutions that align with the company’s long-term strategic goals. 

 

Client Sales Presentations & Onboarding 

  • Represent the technology team in client-facing sales presentations, demonstrating the company’s technological capabilities and how they align with clients’ needs. 
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to present tailored technology solutions to potential clients, ensuring alignment with business objectives and client expectations. 
  • Lead technology-related aspects of client onboarding, ensuring seamless integration and deployment of technology solutions to meet client needs. 
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during contract negotiations and help establish realistic timelines and expectations for technology deliverables. 

 

Team Leadership & Development 

  • Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous growth. 
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and development initiatives to ensure the team is equipped to meet evolving challenges. 
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct performance reviews, and create professional development opportunities for staff. 
  • Empower team members to effectively manage IT projects, infrastructure, and align with broader organizational objectives. 

 

IT Governance & Compliance 

  • Establish and enforce IT governance policies to ensure operational consistency, accountability, and alignment with industry best practices. 
  • Oversee IT audits and ensure systems comply with relevant security policies, regulations, and privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with internal and external compliance standards. 

 

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration 

  • Collaborate closely with other departments to understand their technology needs and provide tailored solutions that align with business goals. 
  • Serve as the key point of contact for all technology-related matters and a trusted advisor to senior leadership. 
  • Clearly communicate technology strategies, opportunities, and challenges to stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment with business vision.  

Qualifications: 

  •  A background in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred). 
  • 12+ years of experience in IT leadership, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director, CTO, VP of IT). 
  • Proven success in driving IT strategy, innovation, and operational efficiency to support business growth. 
  • Deep experience in IT infrastructure management, cybersecurity, and business continuity planning. 
  • Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their applications in business environments. 
  • Experience in technology asset management, including procurement, lifecycle management, and cost optimization. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and scale high-performing technology teams. 
  • Solid project management skills, with the ability to handle complex IT initiatives on time and within budget. 
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), data analytics, and automation tools.
