The good thingsGood thing in DTI is they will give you training to improve your skills and knowledge, environment friendly and has a work from home arrangments and there is no work in Saturday and Sunday as a national government agency.
The challengesIt is realy a great pleasure working in a government specially in Department of Trade and Industry, but what I encounter that challenge me the most are being promoted because they require a Civil Service eligibility that I found hard to obtain and also as a college undergraduate it is also a challenge for me to be in a plantilla position.

The challengesHaving to freely communicate your thoughts whether good or bad, expressing or opening up your ideas or opinions are not welcome. You just follow as ordered. The saying goes like obey first and never complaint. Generally, people are inclined into office politics, less than when I was working in the private sector. I guess my luck isn't in the government job. My talents and contribution, based on experiences and comparison between private and government job, I think, is better appreciated in the private sector. The good thingsThe Department became the foundation of my career as accountant. It gives me opportunities to know and value accounting works. The independence of the bureau from other offices and bureaus makes me credible and the yearly training for advancing my technical knowledge makes me more competent on my job .
The challengesThis agency is my dearest company I have worked with. I loved all the people around me. However, the assignments are good for the starters/fresh graduates, for those who do not want to be think and take bigger responsibility and for those who are satisfied on small income for the living.

The good thingsThe good things about this company is that the management is great due to working 7 am up to 4pm for work-life balance and in order not to get traffic. The management knows how to take care of their employees and giving them a break time after site visits

And they do work well, every minute means a lot to evry entrepreneur and so theyare give excellent client assistance
The challengesThe challenge that makes more exciting is the simultaneously work , specially being a facilitator in the trainings. It's all you that works, that makes you independent. You are the emcee, facilitator,you'll prepare materials and. certificates and the most important thing you'll coordinate with other agencies and try to persuade them as a partner.

The good thingsSince I was accepted as intern in this government office and eventually hired, my high expectation and respect to this office never falter. You will meet professionals both in public and private sector. You will experience high and low which will always give you lessons. If you are looking for a place to gain experience in public service you should consider working here because this agency will surely give you a good start.
The challengesWorking here will not always give you those favorable moments. I experienced doing something without proper orientation, training, and guidance from our office. Pressure and challenges will always be present in work. It would be beneficial for this office if they will provide proper training and seminar relevant to the task being assigned to the employees. This will not only be beneficial to the employee but also to the employer. Proper training and seminar improves the skills of the employee thus providing greater outputs.
