Great working environment and leaders and colleagues are with you and praying for you every step of the way.
The good thingsThe core values, mission and vision of the organization is being put into practice. The organization is continuously seeking opportunities to make sure to help the most vulnerable children and families globally. The environment is very professional yet warm and caring. The management are well capable of doing their jobs.
The challengesEmployees need to have self accountability and integrity as most of the work global roles and sometimes your team are based in different location. Since it is a non-profit organization, you cannot expect that salary and benefits are same as the market value of those corporate organization.

    Life Changing
The good thingsSupportive in the christian journey. Colleagues are like family. Great benefit package. Working well with children, families and communities. Accountability is upheld most of the time. Superb partnership on the field level.
The challengesPoor work-life balance, weekends are mostly utilized for work or travel. A lot of layers going up the management. Sudden change of systems and processes with less consultation. Less appreciation of your work.

Very disorganized, people are not well taken cared of
    The good thingsGood office location
The challengesHours are long, work is easy but just like working in a factory- such a lot to handle, not advisable for those with family. Company has very limited HR staff thus welfare of people is not a priority. Increases are far to none, remuneration is average. Obliges you to practice daily religious activities. Managers are not people-oriented, they too are overworked so what can you expect? Not transparent in JDs.

World Vision is a great place to work.
The good thingsIt is a company that values spiritual journey of staff. WV is community based and working with the communities and their families especially the children provided me an opportunity to contribute (time, talent and relationship). WV also provide avenue for an employee to perform well.
The challengesThe fast transition in the systems being adapted. Yes it has its perks but moreso of a downside since not all systems are applicable in the field work.
