    Filthy office, Terrible Management
The good thingsGreat students, compensation and peers.
The challengesThere are lots of dust and dirt which makes us sick most of the time. Please do hire a maintenance personnel that will maintain cleanliness and orderliness.

    Flexible schedule but low salary
The good things1. Flexible schedule - you select your working hours 2. Relatively low workload - the teaching materials are already provided 3. Warm and supportive management 4. Mostly polite and enthusiastic students 5. No college degree required 6. In case of issues, difficulties, or errors, the company is very forgiving.
The challenges1. Required to work during the weekends and most holidays (with no holiday pay) 2. Base rate per lesson is 55 PhP per lesson (with possibility to increase based on performance) 3. Booking-type system (no lesson = no pay) yet still expected to set aside minimum of 5 hours per day and minimum of 25 hours per week 4. Very rigid protocols to follow

Their operations staff lately has become like robots or mechanical
The good thingsThey pay on time. The regular students, kids and adults, oh my , they are my strength. Their dedications after the lessons even the mothers are so endearing and make me stay despite the unfairness of this company to us. It is the regular students that make us stay.
The challengesThe regular students, children, and adults

One sided approach. They only think about their company. Their thinking is inside the box. They won't listen. The contract they asked us to sign has a condition which is a bit off to which it stated there that the tutor is committed to an unsigned agreement found in the tutor's website.
The good thingsThe students are so endearing. They truly enjoy being with the tutors.
The challengesNot a balance treatment. Their evaluation method on the tutors is very poor.

Incentive has a ceiling so even if you have a continuous good evaluation, the incentive has a ceiling. Your stuck with that pay forever.
The good thingsThe students, kids and adults. They are very endearing
The challengesThe staff are very helpful. Sometimes we do argue but in the end we get along well

    No career growth and benefits
The good thingsStudents were really respectful. You can choose your own schedule as well.
The challengesThe only incentives available are for newbies if they reach a quota during their first few months. There are a few rude staff.

The challengesLife ends when you encounter a moody student who will give you poor rating, despite the available evidence that you followed SOP. They will still take the side of the student and will give you bad evaluation just the same Low Salary.

There is no stress at the cost of pay.
The good thingsBarely stressful. You make your own schedule. People are nice.
The challengesVery little pay which, to be fair, is something you can change over time and by being more diligent, yet even then, the 110 pesos an hour is no guarantee.

People are nice but this isn't the place to go if you're looking for a career.
The good thingsDecent if you work here temporarily or as a hobby. The clients(the japanese students) are very nice. If you have the assets, you can make this work. There is little to no stress if you work at home.
The challengesThere are some glaring flaws with their website. If you work at home, you'll be an extension of their assets. Though there are hardly any stress if you are a tutor, it comes at the cost that gaining income from this company will take time to ramp up. 110 pesos per hour is nice but it's not certain. You won't progress at all if you're just a home based tutor within this company. Most of all, there are a lot other ESL companies out there that offer far more.

The good thingsThe company's Support team and Admin staffs are great to work with, They are always ready to help and guide their tutors. When problems arise, they are very accommodating to help resolve issues encountered by the tutors.
The challengesI can't think of anything.

Staff members are friendly, everyone's OK to be approached. Needs improvement in terms of hiring, recruitment, benefits, pay, tutor monitoring, employee evaluation with regards to increase of pay and awarding of incentives and bonuses
The good thingsThe employees are friendly and approachable. Leaders are hands-on and will guide newbies until they can work on their own. Excellent venue for fresh graduates and those wishing to work with a small team.
The challenges1. Salary and benefits,, esp. HMO ( no dependent, as far as I know) 2. Management should listen more to staff in terms of policies and changes instead of just handing out memos 3. Establish firmer rules for employee evaluation. Reward systems should be clear while penalties should be strictly implemented. 4. Progress reports and company meetings should be organized for the management to hear employees themselves and not just team leaders and for Filipino and Japanese staff to discuss goals and challenges encountered by the company 5. Generous rewards for performing tutors and stricter guidelines for tutors simultaneously teaching students from competitor companies. Monitoring and QA should be regularly done. 6. Hiring of additional employees for QA, monitoring, hiring, and tutor support 7. Better recruitment process, event organizing for tutor gathering, employee-employer relationship

The good thingsI have enjoyed working from the comfort of my home and I don't have to worry going to work early in the morning because I manage my own schedule. Most of the Japanese students are not only nice but they are so respectful. I like teaching them because they listen to corrections and they are grateful being corrected. They give you their warmest and sweetest reception. I want to stay as much as I can
The challengesI found it difficult to deal with some students because every student can give you evaluation which is good because you can improve your teaching style depending on the feedback they will give you. However, most of the time the evaluation is not accurate and it's not objective. I find it unfair for the tutors. It could have been better if they give importance to tutors too and treat us fairly.
