GoodThe good thingsThe salary is at par with most manufacturing companies and average compared to the rest in my field (IT). The hardware and software used are top notch, the benefits package is adequate and the schedule is somewhat flexible. Depending on your job description, you are allowed to work remotely or adjust your shift. The company sponsors travel and accommodations for business trips.
The challengesThe company was recently bought out by Essilor, which for most is actually a good thing because Essilor is a giant, however there were some lay-offs particularly in the marketing and sales departments of several sites due to redundancy. The acquisition drastically changed the direction of the Shared Services department, and I felt like my skills would be of better use in another company so I left.
