Best Company I ever worked with.The good thingsThenamaris Philippines, Inc. may be seen as a pretty small office at first glance. But after spending more than a year with them I realized how great a company it is. It's big in it's own way. What gives you this feeling is that it grows in an exponential rate. You'll easily fall in love with the company that it makes you want to continuously do your part for the company's growth.
The management is pretty kind too with their employees. You can really see and feel their own way of caring for them. The atmosphere is also lax compared to some companies I've been into. A perfect blend of lax and strictness.
Majority of employees is also around 20-30 yrs old so it's a lively and youthful scene.
The challengesFor a small office and being the sole IT, a one man show could be pretty demanding sometimes. Not because there are too much task for your job itself but for some reason because you are an IT that they expect you do be a well-rounded person.
It's great to be seen as a reliable person but it seems like they are forgetting that you have your own Job as an IT. You have your own tasks, projects, goals, etc. I am always met with a situation where I begin to have a lot of backlogs for my own work and I can't even proceed with my own projects because I need to prioritize some side task that are not IT related. They see your job as being less important than theirs.
It's great having a good exposure or two beyond your field of expertise, but if it's already getting in the way of your actual work and is harming your performance and role as the company's IT, you will not be able to do your job well.
