    Memorable and one of the best training ground
    The good thingsThroughout my 3 month training in The Peninsula Manila, it really improved my self-confidence and efficiency when it comes to my job. They didn't made me feel like an intern, but they made me think that I am one of their employee as well. So, it helped me push myself to my limits and know my capabilities as an individual.
    The challengesThere were certain days that the working flow was a bit stressful. You should really know how to manage your time and your flexibility when things gets out of hand. It really improved my critical thinking when there were certain things, like equipment or ingredient that were not available but you need to think an alternative to provide the needs of a guest.

    The good thingsIt’s a good working environment with a good colleague’s to work with. The chef’s and the staff’s are very friendly.
    The challengesWhen i did my ojt in the peninsula it’s bermonths so it mean its very busy in the kitchen we need to make almost 100 pcs of small pastry’s verrines and all the dessert almost everyday then were going to set up the desserts at the buffet section at escolta the buffet resto in the pen. Then while doing the desserts for the following day someone from escolta will call because we need to refill the pastry station it’s very challenging because you need to work as fast as you can and also you will learn how to multi task.

Being assigned in different outlets of the hotel introduced me to different cuisines. Volume orders from different outlets to events that has a contract made me much better when it comes to handling pressure in work field.
