Goals are not set though before the fiscal year starts. Implementation of programs are not cosistent, sometimes it stops without any early notice to employees. During my four years of stay in this company, I met four different general managers which is not a good sign for me in terms of security.
The challengesIn terms of promoting people, they should have trained them well before promoting them. There should also be an open line of communication from lower levels of employees to higher management. There should also be a thorough review of sales incentive plans, and it should be communicated before the fiscal year starts (avoid changing rules in the middle of the fiscal year to avoid chaos)
