There are better companies out there
The good thingsWork From Home. Equipment provided. Weekends off but not always.
The challengesMicro management due to undisciplined and unprofessional workers. Low salary standards. Failed workflow process. Failed strategies by leaders. Multiple meetings because leadership keep changing their minds. Extended working hours. Same problems month after month.

Unfair Treatment and Favoritism in Training Process
    The good thingsStructured training materials.
The challengesI recently participated in a one-day training session with SGS & Co., with the goal of securing a work-from-home position. Initially, the session started well, but as the day progressed, it became evident that favoritism and bias played a significant role in the training environment. One trainee, in particular, managed to connect with the trainer on a personal level, which seemed to influence the trainer’s attitude and behavior toward the group. Despite this individual contributing very little to the actual training exercises and activities, they were consistently given preferential treatment, while others, including myself, were left out of key learning moments. There was a clear shift after the first break, where the trainer's focus turned toward certain individuals, and I was no longer given the same level of attention or guidance. At one point, comments were made about "bad personality traits", which created an uncomfortable atmosphere for some of the trainees. This shift in tone seemed unnecessary and contributed to a sense of unease among those who were genuinely trying to engage with the material. This imbalance in treatment made it difficult to fully engage in the session. Later, when taking the final exam, it became apparent that merit was not the primary factor in determining who passed. Despite the uneven participation, a few individuals were selected, and it felt like these decisions were based on favoritism rather than performance. Overall, the experience was disheartening, with a lack of transparency and fairness throughout the training process. I believe the company should take steps to ensure equal opportunities for all participants, with more focus on merit and less on personal connections.

Friendly & welcoming environment. You gotta trust the process lang talaga :)
The good thingsWFH setup. Complete tools + software provided. Extensive training from principles of printing and graphics to application. Great camaraderie.
The challengesIt's quite difficult to keep up with a Work-Life-Balance. Madalas overtime sa Production lalo kapag tight ang due and high volume ang jobs. WFH but hindi sya flexible since you only work with the PC units provided. So kapag nasa ibang lugar ka or when you're on a vacation, you have to file for leave talaga. Even if you have the means to work ( internet , good - performing device ). 15 overall SL/VL. I hope mapag-hiwalay nila ito. Their KPI :)

My experience at SGSCO provided valuable exposure to global brands and advanced tools, though the unrealistic KPIs highlighted the importance of setting practical goals aligned with industry demands.
The good thingsThe company’s focus on precision and detail will help you enhance your attention to detail and develop an understanding of the stringent requirements involved in packaging and branding for high-profile clients.
The challengesWith over 15 years of experience in the industry, I have a solid understanding of what it takes to deliver quality work and meet expectations. At SGSCO, I found that the KPIs set for my role were unrealistic and didn’t align with the practical demands of the job. While I remained committed to delivering the best results, the metrics in place didn’t reflect the complexities of the work or the time required to maintain the high standards I believe are essential. This experience reinforced my belief in the importance of setting reasonable, achievable goals that support both quality and efficiency. I am confident in my abilities and remain dedicated to pursuing roles where expectations are aligned with real-world results.

So much passive aggressiveness from Managers, I was shocked how they handle their employees! They will schedule meetings just to blow some steam on you. Very unprofessional, even team leaders. They don't have a say and cannot protect their own team.
The good thingsWFH is always a good thing
The challengesNo promotion opportunity even if you got an "Exceeded Expectations" score in your annual review. If management don't like you, your career will be stagnant

The good thingsWhen the pandemic hit, the company wasted no time in adapting to the WFH setup and made sure all the employees get the necessary equipment and utilities to keep the show going.
The challengesAs with any agency that caters to large companies, certain jobs can have short deadlines and be demanding.
