    The good things1. Above industry salaries for rank-and-file up to Management 2. Above-the-normal benefits, such as medical, dental, rice allowance, bonuses, and corporate performance incentives. 3. High value for safety and ISO compliance 4. Very accommodating C-level executives 5. Opportunities for career advancement and training for process, plant and corporate personnel, with additional travel to the Head Company Office in Osaka.
    The challenges1. Ensuring compliance with government agencies. 2. The pressure of keeping up with the high demands at work, since this is large manufacturing facility.

    The good thingsThe management imposed the 8-5 work week, with the provision that on Fridays, we can leave at 4:30 PM. The salary and benefits provided to employees are above-average based on comparisons with other companies within the same industry. Although there is no opportunity yet for promotion and career advancement, the management is supportive and hands-on to every activities.
    The challengesThere is a significant level of labor union involvement that may ultimately hamper company bottom line. Some of the perks normally provided for to similar positions are lacking, an may prove difficult in the long run.

    The good thingsI enjoy the nature of my job, the salary I was getting, including the benefits and perks of being an SOCC employee. Benefits are well extended to dependents. Even in the company events, the company has a very generous way of showing appreciation to its employees.
