Toxic Work Environment. Very minimal work life balance. Salary package is not competitive.
The good thingsGreat place to learn and obtain knowledge.
The challengesYou are expected to be available to work 24/7. You often have to work overtime even though you're not compensated for that. Some managers prioritize deadlines over employee welfare. Expect to be overworked especially during busy season. You have to learn how to work on your own. The salary package is not competitive at all.

    Busy Season Gone Worse
The good thingsSuitable for young accounting professionals that are just starting their careers and yet to decide on what industry they prefer. More hands-on experience and tolerable environment and appreciative superiors compared to other firms.
The challengesColleagues are passive aggressive. Wouldn't respect your time. My anxiety had gone worse with every Hangouts & Viber sound notifications. You will be working 22/7 (good for you to have even 2 hrs of sleep) Unnecessary meetings are frequently held just to pressure their staff. No proper account allocation and forecasting. HR and payroll are rude when you're already processing your COE and final pay (For which I haven't received mine yet until now despite following their instructions promptly. Still no response after several follow-ups)

Great experience to start up your career
The good things1. Bosses are good and approachable 2. Teammates motivate and help you to finish the tasks. Sometimes you make "the impossible" possible due to good teamwork. 3. A lot of opportunities to learn. You will hone not only your technical skills but also your communication / soft skills. 4. Will definitely make you ready for the outside corporate roles after 2 to 3 years of firm exposure.
The challenges1. Definitely no work-life balance, but you can still have it during your first few months in the firm (if you are a fresh graduate). 2. You may handle multiple clients simultaneously. If you are on a senior level or up you need to manage your time well as you will also be doing admin tasks. 3. Work may tend to be stressful. Especially when you are dealing with hard clients.

The good thingsThe Company has a very approachable hierarchy. Superiors are more than willing to pass on necessary, and even extra knowledge that will be useful specially for the young ones in the Company.
The challengesHaving a work-life balance during the busy season, due to the nature of the profession practiced in the firm.

The challengesIt's not about the firm, it's more of the industry, being in the public practice is very physically and emotionally exhausting.

The good thingsTrainings are held at least twice a year. You will be exposed to different type of industry. Unlimited learnings - every engagement will feed you additional skills to further understand audit processes.
The challengesWork-life balance (Time management) - mostly during busy season. This is somewhat expected as the nature of work under audit will require most of your time.

GOOD CHOICE FOR A FRESH GRAD

You're in if you value experience and development. You're out if you want more time for what it is worth
The good thingsThe Company is truly committed in honing your technical and communication skills. There is a lot of room for your development within the firm. With a background of 3 years or more you can say that you are equipped when you venture out to the corporate jungle or to other fields of your liking.
The challengesI must say that there has to be a rampant difficulty to balance your life and work when you are within an auditing firm. Although this is still an issue to all if not many auditing firms in the country. Moreover, the pay is not what you expect or can compare with other companies in the private field or the government.

Trade off work life balance vs. Fast Career progression
The good thingsA lot of learning Fast career progression Gives you a perspective on how private companies operate Intelligent and outstanding workmates
The challengesLong hours and weekend work. A lot of time is to be sacrificed in order to grow fast track your career. Tight deadlines would result to high stress situations, so while working here is a good career opportunity, this is not for everyone, especially for people with health problems.

    Work Environment - 5/5, Experience Value - 5/5, Salary 3/5
The good thingsA great place to start. Although, in the end, almost all auditing firms are “training grounds”, RT&Co. will make you feel adulthood in a way that you will NOT get overwhelmed and fatigued to the point of resignation.
The challengesSalary is a bit low. But during busy season, among the highest paying.

It was a great On-the-Job training.
The good thingsFriendly working environment and different significant activities that will boost the confidence and will enhance the skills and capabilities of their employees/trainees/interns inside and outside of the field.
The challengesI think challenge in a work is part of our training. I considered it as a motivation in order for me to be more efficient and to be more effective trainee/intern.
