An environment where peer solidarity compensated for the absence of healthy leadership.
The good thingsOne of the few redeeming aspects of my time at the company was the camaraderie among colleagues. Associates built genuine connections and consistently supported one another, providing a sense of solidarity that made the experience more manageable.
The challengesPower is routinely exercised through intimidation, micromanagement, and selective enforcement of authority rather than genuine leadership. Professional boundaries were consistently blurred, with managers displaying an unsettling interest in employees’ personal lives under the guise of concern, fostering an atmosphere of quiet surveillance and distrust. While the company provides exposure to publishing workflows, it falls short in offering a respectful, psychologically safe environment for experienced professionals seeking ethical leadership and autonomy.

A bit waste of time, look for other publishing companies
    The good thingsColleagues turned friends
The challengesVery very low salary for a company that requires 6 days a week. The bosses like gossip, talks about editors' personal lives, no career growth, a boss borderline verbally ab*ses with her remarks/coaching

starting my first job at Rex as a fresh graduate pulls me out of my comfort zone. though it’s kinda scary, I remind myself that growth begins the moment you step forward. especially when it’s a dream job aligned with what I really want to do.
The good thingsone thing I’m grateful for is having Ms. Jem from HR, who is incredibly kind and approachable. her guidance and warmth make stepping into my first job a lot less scary.
The challengesone of the challenges is for employees living outside Metro Manila who need to commute, since long travel hours can be both exhausting and time-consuming.

As a fresh graduate starting my first job at Rex, it is challenging to leave my comfort zone, but sometimes you just need to show up and do it scared.
The good thingsThe good thing is that my workmates are kind and supportive, and Ms. Jem from HR is approachable and easy to talk to. The overall environment is welcoming, which makes adjusting to the workplace easier.
The challengesThe challenge is for employees coming from distant provinces, as adjusting to apartment living can be a major transition. At times, it may feel as though everything is happening all at once.

A seamless and supportive hiring experience with an exceptional team.
The good thingsWhat I appreciated the most was the professionalism and warmth of the team throughout the hiring process. Their consistent communication and genuine support made me feel valued even before officially joining. The smooth coordination, prompt responses, and overall respect for my time truly stood out. It’s rare to find a process that is both efficient and human-centered, and that made all the difference.
The challengesHonestly, I didn’t experience any challenges throughout the hiring process. Everything was well-structured, clear, and handled with great care. The process felt smooth and stress-free from beginning to end, which I truly appreciated.

This is my first experience working at a corporate company, and I am pleased with how well it's going. The work environment met my expectations and I find the role particularly fulfilling because of the alignment to what I have done before and what I am doing now which has allowed me to contribute meaningfully while still learning and growing with this new corporate setting. Friendly colleagues and HR is a plus.

Challenging yet rewarding job with competitive compensation packages. The company has no shortage of sharp minds and fully motivated employees.
The good thingsRex Education actively plays a role in helping alleviate the struggles of the nation's educational system through publication and distribution of learning materials nationwide. It also capacitates schools and school organizations in effective implementation of the curriculum and helps them maintain a globally competitive institutional paradigm for the betterment of students. If the above thrust connects with your interests, then Rex Education is a great match for you. As it is in dealing with widespread issues, working at Rex Education is challenging yet extremely rewarding. Your individual contribution will go a long way.

The good thingsAs a fresh graduate, I really appreciated how friendly, accommodating, and welcoming the recruitment team was. They made the interview process comfortable and focused more on my skills and potential rather than experience. They also helped boost my confidence, and I was even hired on the same day.
The challengesSince I’m just starting, I don’t have experience yet in the actual work environment. I’m still adjusting and learning about the responsibilities and workflow, which can be a bit overwhelming at first.

I had the most awful job-hunting experience. I applied last December and went through the interview process, which included an initial interview, an exam, and a final face-to-face interview. During these interviews, I clearly stated that my lowest acceptable salary was ₱22,000, and the HR representative (Ms. Jemiffer) agreed. As a result, we proceeded with the application process. After the final interview, they sent me a job offer of only ₱20,000. I attempted to negotiate, but despite my follow-ups, I have yet to receive any updates—even now in February. Both the HR representative and the hiring manager were unprofessional, completely wasting my time. If they couldn’t offer ₱22,000, they should have been upfront about it instead of dragging out the process
The good thingsThe HR is responsive throught the hiring process but once you negotiate the salary they will ghost you.
The challengesBAD HR AND HIRING MANAGER
